After a fire destroyed their residence, these clients decided to rebuild a more spacious timber frame house, preserving the eponymous stone facade.  The reconstruction was general contracted by Ironwood Builders of Ithaca who subcontracted the timber frame to Double Dog Timberworks, the previous incarnation of Hammerstone Builders.  Hand cut out of eastern white pine with king post trusses and curved knee braces, this house is a stunning example of the natural beauty of timber frames.
